The comparison between the birth of Prophet Muhammad and the recognition of Israel in Somali land is not only invalid but also completely misguided

Recently, some Islamic scholars have drawn interesting parallels between the birth of the Prophet Muhammad and Israel’s recognition of Somaliland. However, they risk being misleading. It is important to note that there is no foundation for such comparisons in the Quran, despite their references to various Quranic verses.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ شَـٰهِدًۭا وَمُبَشِّرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا
وَدَاعِيًا إِلَى ٱللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَسِرَاجًۭا مُّنِيرًۭا
The birth of Muhammad stands as a monumental moment in history, heralding the arrival of the final prophet and the revelation of the Quran—the foundational text of a faith that inspires over a billion followers worldwide. His birth is not merely a historical event but a profound reminder of the enduring values of compassion, kindness, and justice that lie at the heart of his teachings.
In stark contrast, Israel’s recognition of Somaliland appears to be primarily influenced by geopolitical dynamics within the Middle East. It is vital to acknowledge that this development is intertwined with a tapestry of ongoing conflicts in the region, resulting in deep human suffering and a tragic loss of life. By understanding these complexities, we can engage in more meaningful and respectful dialogue.
Are these scholars so oblivious that they overlook the grim reality of over one hundred thousand Muslims who have lost their lives in Gaza, with thousands still entombed beneath the rubble? Can we honestly expect Israel to deliver peace, compassion, and justice to the Muslim community? The answer is no.
