Marcus Rashford ‘missed Man United training’ after ‘visiting Belfast nightclub’

Marcus Rashford reportedly missed Manchester United training after going on a night out in Belfast.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Rashford was pictured attending a nightclub in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Wednesday night.

However, according to The Athletic, Rashford was out in Belfast on Wednesday night and Thursday night before missing training with his club on Friday.
It has been claimed that the player attended a nightclub just hours before being scheduled to report for a club training session.

The report stated that the forward went to Lavery’s Bar on Wednesday night before attending Thompsons Garage nightclub in the city on Thursday night, he then flew back to Manchester via private jet the following morning.

Speaking about Rashford on Friday, United boss Erik ten Hag said: “This morning, Rashford was ill and (Jonny) Evans was ill so we have to see how they recover.”
Back in November 2023, Rashford was spotted attending a nightclub after United’s 3-0 defeat by local rivals Manchester City.

Speaking about the incident back then, Ten Hag said: “I spoke with him about it. It’s unacceptable. He apologised and that is it. For us it’s an internal matter.

“He’s very motivated to put things right. He’s totally with us.”

He added: “He has made a mistake but that doesn’t say he’s not fitting in. I see him every day in training, what he’s doing, I know.”

Rashford was one of the best players of the Premier League last season after managing 30 goals across all competitions.

However, the Englishman’s form has drastically dropped this season, having only scored four goals in 26 appearances so far.

United are back in action on Sunday afternoon as they take on Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
